![]() ![]() ![]() She could have let herself go once her bebies were hatched, but no. It's only when Ryley chooses to leave in the Neptune Rocket, and she makes her final communication with Ryley, does she finally let go and succumb to inevitibility. ![]() Notice how Sea Mama, already older than her species should have gotten, clinging to life beyond any reasonable ability to do so.she clung just a little longer. Ryley was able to deactivate the Quarintine Enforcement Platform and achieve freedom and escape. Her eggs were given the nutrients and enzymes needed to hatch, that she could not obtain herself. Mistaking her communications with telepathy as fever dreams.īy working together, cooperating, Ryley and Sea Mama accomplish their goals. They were able to understand each other, and work towards a mutual goal that benefitted not just both of them, but the entire planet.nay, perhaps the entire galaxy? Perhps all of existance.įor all the Precursor's technological advancement, they could not reach or understand Sea Mama's feelings, emotions, or desires.įor all of Bart's intellect, and kind hearted curiosity (and brain implants) he was unable to understand Sea Mama's call for help. "We are different.but we go.together"Įven though they are different species, come from different worlds, and are entirely, completely, totally different.Ryley and Sea Mama went together. Ryley succeeded where nature, science, and technology had failed. Ryley helped usher in a new generation of Sea Emperors, possibly preventing their extinction Ryley granted a dying ancient, sentient Leviathan's final wishes. Compare that to her interaction with Ryley, whom doesn't speak verbally, but perhaps was still able to engage in more meaningful "communication" with Sea Mama. Comparing that experience, to her experience (or attempt) with Bart Torgal, failed communication. My interpurtation of this, is based on her interactions with the Precursors. Now you go among the stars, and I fall among the sand. They are different, but they go together. ![]()
